Cinderella was right when they sang “Don’t Know What You’ve Got (‘Til It’s Gone).” The Ford Ranger has left the country only to reappear around the globe, looking pretty darn good in the process. Leading the charge into our now-broken heart is the 2012 Ford Ranger Wildtrak; a diesel-sipping, off-road ready, gadget-packed pickup truck that’s making out with the rest of the world while all we can do is watch from the sidelines.

The Wildtrak is the newest range-topping trim and it comes crammed full of features. On the outside, the Ranger Wildtrak sports a unique color scheme on its front fascia, 18-inch wheels and a roof rack. Inside, the cabin is fitted with a touch-screen control system that features satellite navigation, Bluetooth, iPod integration and voice recognition.

Under the hood, the 2012 Ford Ranger Wildtrak is offered with a choice of two diesel engines: A 2.2-liter four-cylinder that produces 277 pound-feet of torque or a 3.2-liter inline-five that generates an impressive 347 lb-ft.

You can stare at it all you want in the gallery below. Just know that heartaches come and go, and all that’s left are the words.

Ride the globe with the Honda CBR250R side scroller

Honda CBR250R game

Honda wants to ramp up the buzz around its flingable new 2011 CBR250R, and rather than dumping a pile a of YouTube videos onto the web, the company has unleashed a side-scrolling Flash game, TouringGlobe. The rules are simple: Players pick a bike livery and avatar before heading out to “ride” around the world. Unlike other flash games, you don’t actually control your bike, per se. You can speed up or slow down, but the motorcycle more or less continues on regardless of your interactions.

It’s not thrilling by any means, especially considering that no matter how hard you try, you can’t outrun the other riders playing the game at the same time. Maybe they weigh less than we do. If you’ve got a few seconds to kill and feel like seeing some bizarre backgrounds (as shown above) you can point your browser in this direction.

BMW Unscripted Tiffany Coates

BMW Unscripted: Tiffany Coates – Click above to watch video after the jump

The last time we heard from BMW Unscripted, an ancient 5 Series was stalking the tall grass of South Africa in search of meerkats. Now the company has turned its attention to Tiffany Coates and her BMW R80GS. The duo have traversed the globe together, ranging over five continents and covering untold miles in the process. For Coates, no country or region is off limits, and she’s spent time everywhere from Afghanistan and Pakistan to Alaska and Australia. Her travel is impressive, without a doubt, though we’re more taken with the perspective that her gallivanting has given her.

“People always assume that the world is full of dangerous places, and they think, and they say as well, that I’m mad to go travelling where I do. I always replay, ‘but, 99.9 percent of people in the world are really nice, decent people like you and I.'”

We can think of a few politicians that could use some time in the saddle of an R80GS. Hit the jump to have a look at a slice of Coates’ life on the road, and remember not to let your fear rule you, people. There’s a whole world out there just waiting to meet you.
