Rocky Mountain Tracking logoA company by the name of Rocky Mountain Tracking is out to make sure that car buyers never forget another payment so long as they live. The GPS manufacturer has developed a new device that can be remotely activated to generate a loud buzzing noise should a delinquent consumer forget to make their payment. The appropriately-named Smart Tracker Payment Reminder Buzzer can immediately be deactivated once the borrower is caught back up and on schedule. While the Smart Tracker has been on the market for a while now, the buzzing feature is a new option.

Car dealerships frequently install devices like the Smart Tracker to keep tabs on the location of vehicles sold to high-risk customers. The device can accurately locate the vehicle should a visit from the repo man become necessary, making the dealer’s life considerably easier. In addition, the devices protect both the owner and the dealer in the event of a theft. Head over to Rocky Mountain Tracking to see the rest of the company’s wares and hit the jump for a full press release.

There’s been no shortage of new Italian exotics hitting the streets lately. Recent additions to the stable have included the Pagani Huayra, the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Lamborghini Aventador. But do you notice something missing? That’s right: roadsters. Not one among these three are currently available with the wind-in-your-tupée experience, but that should change in due course.

Reports of convertible versions of both the 458 and the Huayra have already surfaced, and now we can begin looking forward to the Aventador Roadster – at least, that’s what reports coming in from Italy would have us believe. With little indication of where it’s getting the information information, Autoblog.it and its English-language counterpart EuroCarBlog.com are anticipating that the successor to the Murcielago Roadster and the Diablo VT Roadster before it will arrive sometime next year.

Considering that the Aventador is already sold out for the next 18 months, it would probably have to be quite late in 2012. But one way or another, you can bet it’s coming at some point.

We’ve heard the rumors about a Baby Quattroporte for some time now and Inside Line managed to wrangle up some new details on the upcoming Maserati. The car is expected to arrive sometime next fall and will take aim at the likes of the BMW M5, Jaguar XFR and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. While the Quattroporte received its lines from Pininfarina, the smaller Maserati will be penned at Centro Stile Fiat – Fiat’s in-house design studio.

Currently, the automaker is deciding where the sporty luxury sedan will be built. The Modena factory is running at full-tilt so the next choice seems to be Bertone’s Turin plant.

Due to circumstances reportedly beyond Ford’s control, many customers are having to wait a bit longer to receive their new 2011 Fiesta sedans and hatchbacks. After Hurricane Alex and Tropical Storm Bonnie rolled through Northern Mexico earlier this summer, railroads were damaged that provide shipments to the factory where Ford builds the Fiesta.

Customers may have to wait up to two weeks longer than expected to receive the hot new subcompact, and as a token of appreciation for being patient, Ford will be giving these customers a $50 MasterCard gift card. That’s a free tank of gas and a smattering of delicious coffee drinks… or a fancy dinner for two!

In speaking with Automotive News, Ford sales analyst George Pipas says that Ford has “about 6,500 to 7,000 [Fiestas] in transit to dealers” and that the cars should start to be fully stocked within the next couple of months. For now, customers will have to wait patiently and take solace in the extra $50 in their pockets when it finally comes time to take delivery.
