Spy photographer Jim Dunne has spent 28 years of his life shooting vehicles that weren’t necessarily meant to be seen. For that reason, Dunne and automakers probably don’t always get along all that well, but the longtime spy photographer got together with General Motors to discuss the cat and mouse game played between OEMs and the spy shooters. That’s a fun story, but the real carrot is that the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is the subject matter for the video.

Hit the jump to watch the nearly three-minute-long video. The entire clip is shot with a well-disguised 2013 Malibu in plain sight, and you can plainly see HID headlights plus some of the contour lines that will make up Chevrolet’s next-generation sedan.

This time The General shows that the MyLink infotainment screen can flip out, revealing considerable storage room for your tech toys. Check out all the teaser pics in the gallery below. GM will unveil the 2011 Malibu on Facebook on April 19, and we expect to see the car in person at the upcoming New York Auto Show.

Jay Leno and the Ford Police Interceptor

Jay Leno and the Ford Police Interceptor – Click above to watch video after the jump

Jay Leno has been a busy little denim-clad bee lately. The late-night host and car aficionado managed to get up close and personal with what Ford is hoping will become law enforcement’s vehicles of choice in the near future – the Ford Police Interceptor and its Utility counterpart. Leno was lucky enough to get a full walk around both bruisers as well as a stint behind the wheel in the rain. The man with the chin managed to run down the current-generation Crown Victoria-based interceptor during a lead follow, so the footage from the track is a little more entertaining than your run-of-the-mill hot lap.

But that’s not the only vehicle that Leno’s been playing with recently. The comedian also took the time to get familiar with the latest new toy by the guys at Automoblox. The wooden racers are modular in design, allowing kids (and grown-ups, too) to build their own custom model from the available pieces. Think of it as Legos meets Hot Wheels. The pieces are made of German Beachwood, and the latest line of hot rods are right up our alley.

Hit the jump to see both videos.

Man spends nearly $200,000 to win right to park truck in his own driveway [w/video]

Man pays nearly $200,000 to park truck in his own drive – click above to watch the video

Beware of the home owner’s association. Considered this country’s most basic, ruthless unit of government, HOAs are typically organized and manned by retirees with little better to do than tell you what to do with your property – something A.J. Vizzi recently learned the hard way. When Vizzi purchased his home in Odessa, Florida, he was told he would be allowed to park his Ford F-350 Super Duty in his home’s driveway, even though the neighborhood’s rules forbade keeping vehicles anywhere other than the garage. The truck didn’t fit in the home’s garage.

The local HOA soon changed its mind, and before long a lawsuit ensued. In 2008, a judge ruled in Vizzi’s favor, but the association quickly appealed the decision. In March, a second judge sided with Vizzi, and the courts awarded him $187,000 in legal fees to be paid by the HOA. In total, the association claims that the ordeal has cost over $300,000, including the cash it now has to pay to Vizzi. Take a look after the jump to watch a local news report on the legal battle. Thanks for the tip, Sea Urchin!
