‘Tis the dawn of a new digital age, friends. A new spy shot of what is very likely to be called the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has been spotted on the world’s most ubiquitous social networking site: Facebook. It seems the pic was snapped and uploaded to the web by a member of the Lamborghini Club of Los Angeles.
Although mostly obscured by what looks to be some sort of electrical tape (or vinyl wrap, or something…), we still get a clear look at the basic wedge-like shape of Lambo’s next supercar. The family resemblance to the Miura, Countach, Diablo and Murcielago is clear, with more than a little Reventon-esque flair thrown in for good measure. Not a bad history to draw from, eh?
With its new clean-sheet 6.5-liter V12 expected to punch out 700 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque, the Aventador ought to have plenty of brawn to match the racy looks of its carbon fiber shell. We look forward to finding out for sure…
*Update: Turns out this isn’t really a spy shot at all, but a picture taken while the car was being given the initial once-over by some our our journalist friends.

The Smart 454 took a different approach to this contest, compared to the dark and dramatic Aera. The 454 refers to the weight of the vehicle in kilograms, and it is described as being constructed, or rather knitted out of carbon fiber, by “Smart Granny Robots.” Those robots, or SGRs, can turn the carbon fiber into complex shapes, which allows for the varied forms created to be super strong. Even the wheels are carbon fiber, which would allow for less unsprung weight and a strong rolling platform for the 454 WWT to roll on.

The eagle-eyed crew over at Auto Express has managed to get its hands on a few photos of what may very well turn out to be a more hardcore version of the mighty Audi R8. Spotted at a gas station near the Nürburgring, the car was wearing a host of mechanical and aesthetic additions borrowed straight from the German manufacturer’s racing program. Along with a set of becoming orange stripes, the mid-engine terror wears a new, more aggressive front splitter up front and massive air intakes on both sides. That hardware should look awfully familiar. The company makes use of similar tech on its R8 LMS racer.
